Trusted Adoption Agencies in the Philippines

In 8 out of 10 questions asked about local adoption, OVER HALF of respondents stated that they are unsure about their answers, with every correct answer being logged into the minority of responses.

What is with this staggering imbalance? Due to the lack of educational awareness and media attention to this topic, the Filipino population stands at a lack of relevant knowledge regarding adoption. In our campaign’s conducted survey, MORE THAN EIGHTY PERCENT of responses stated that they do NOT know about the local adoption processes in our country.

So who are the Philippines’ local adoption agencies?

Kaisahang Buhay Foundation, Inc.

“Every Child Deserves a Loving and Permanent Family”

Kaisahang Buhay Foundation, Inc. is a private, non-profit child and family welfare organization licensed by the Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) since 1975. The organization’s name, Kaisahang Buhay Foundation, stands for wholeness or “one-ness” within the family and seeks to provide a meaningful life for the children it serves.

This organization primarily provides three main services for its orphans and single mothers. First, they provide a foster care service for toddlers and infants whose birth parents are unable to properly care for them, either temporarily or permanently. Second, they give intensive care for pregnant women and girls who are unable to support themselves in crisis situations. Third, they provide a day care service in disadvantaged communities to help foster the talents and development of children around the country. They seek to give these children a future, and a family to love.

“Be part of the change you want to see in the world”

NORFIL Foundation, Inc. is also a private, non-profit organization dedicated to achieving a world where every child is cared for and loved. They are also licensed by the DSWD, and have been serving the community since 1984. They aim to uphold the rights of children who are neglected, abandoned, and disabled, while also ensuring that children can enjoy their rights.

They also provide services such as giving comprehensive care to both foster and disabled children, while also helping these children find new families to call their own by providing them with both permanent and temporary substitute family care. NORFIL also helps enhance the knowledge and skills of social workers and other social welfare and development practitioners in the areas of alternative family care and community-based inclusive development for children and youth with disabilities. Moreover, they serve as one of the country’s only connections to intercountry adoption services, with ties to adoption centers in both the USA and the Netherlands.
